It’s Heisman Week! Get a taste of the experience.
It’s the first week of December and that means…well probably a lot of things. But to us it means it’s Heisman Week! Not only do we now know the three collegiate Heisman finalists, we’ve announced the twelve Wendy’s High School Heisman Finalists. Every year around this time, the twelve National Finalists are brought out to New York City to experience what will be one of the most memorable weekends of their lives. Here’s a taste of what they can expect:
Inspiration: It’s no question the big lights, tall buildings, busy streets, and the overall energy of New York City will inspire these 12 finalists, however the true inspiration will come from within their new found inner circle. By joining the Heisman family, this year’s finalists will be introduced to a new family whose combined accomplishments can go unmatched. Mystique: The mystique of the Heisman tradition will be all around during the weekend but none more prominently than during the national announcement. Each finalist will experience the stage where the great Heisman winners of our time like Archie Griffin, Roger Stoubach, Barry Sanders, and Tim Tebow were enshrined into history. Friendship: Each year, the twelve Wendy’s High School Heisman finalists are introduced to a unique set of individuals who share the same ambitions as well as are introduced to a network of individuals who can serve as mentors in their life journey. These friendships are started through a series of activities organized throughout the weekend to recognize the outstanding achievements these 12 high school senior athletes have accomplished over their short time. 2012 State Finalists Announced!
We would like to extend our applause to the 2012 Wendy’s High School Heisman State Finalists! Each and every State Finalist should be extremely proud of their achievements, as we received tens of thousands of applications for the program. The school winners can be found on the 2012 Results page and have been announced to the press.
The State Finalists automatically move on to compete in the state portion of the program to be among the 102 State Winners. This coming Monday, November 5, the 102 State Winners will be announced on the 2012 Results page and to the press.
