Athletic and Academic Awards Program Timeline
March 2013
Students: The online application will be available starting in March 2013. You can win a Wendy’s gift card worth $10 – $50 just for being one of the first 25,000 applicants to apply.
Guidance counselors: check your mail for important High School Heisman Program information and make sure to share it with all the outstanding students in your school.
October 2, 2013
Application deadline. Students applications must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. Central Time in order to be considered.
October 4, 2013
School official review deadline. School officials must complete all application reviews by 5:00 p.m. Central Time to ensure students qualify.
October 23, 2013
School Winners announced on the 2013 Results page and to the press.
October 28, 2013
State Finalists announced on the 2013 Results page and to the press.
November 4, 2013
State Winners announced on the 2013 Results page and to the press.
November 4-15, 2013
National Finalists announced on the 2013 Results page and to the press.
December 2013
National Finalists will be brought to New York City for Heisman Weekend activities and the Wendy’s High School Heisman Award Banquet to be held December 13, 2013 in which the two National Winners will be announced nationally on ESPN2.
