Our Purpose

Inspiring potential and changing the lives of scholar athletes is a Wendy’s tradition.

Wendy’s is and always has been much more than a quick service restaurant company. Our founder, Dave Thomas, believed that a company should have a higher purpose beyond selling products or services. For Wendy’s, that purpose is helping the nation’s youth pursue their passions and realize their dreams.

Through the Wendy’s High School Heisman Program, Wendy’s achieves this purpose, both by honoring the achievements of exceptional students and by providing a platform for continued growth and success. This scholar athlete program elevates students by making it possible for them to take advantage of new opportunities, ensuring they are recognized for a job well done, and inspiring them to continue achieving their best.
